How to Identify and Evaluate Risks of Airborne Particulates

Northern Air Corp. suggest a systematic approach and evaluate
a potential air contaminant problem exists and investigating the
airborne issues at your facility. If any process is being carried
out that releases significant amounts of contaminants into the
workspace, then an assessment should be made to establish if
workers are at risk from exposure.
Quantitative evaluations of airborne amounts should be performed
for several reasons, for example: to evaluate workers’ exposure in relation to a sanctioned standard (OSHA), to
determine type of control measures. Maintenance and cleaning procedures should be examined to ensure that they
are effective and do not give rise to excessive exposure. It should be ensured that management favors work
practices that reduce or eliminate risks. Of course, if you have any concerns about dust, smoke, fumes, aerosols,
